Road signs for cyclists

These are the kind of signs that we see here at intersections of bicycle paths: the red/white ones point the direction and distance to nearby villages, the white/green ones are marked cycling routes, the round blue/white is a traffic sign saying that this road is mandatory for bicycles and mopeds, and the yellow/black sign indicates that there is currently a detour.

I´m linking to signs, signs.

  5. I think I'd have to stop to figure out the signs and where I needed to go. It's wonderful, though, that you have such resources for bikers. We've made some advances in that regard in the U.S. but still have a long way to go. We're much too entranced by big cars and big trucks!

  6. The red and white style's familiar- the Dutch embassy here placed a mushroom style sign with directions near the Canal some years ago, and it's still there.

  8. I have a lot of respect for the bicyclists weaving in and out of city streets. It sure helps to have good signage.
