Sweepers Clock / Maarten Baas

Another ´Real Time´ item by Maarten Baas (see also yesterday's post) was this 'Sweepers Clock', where a camera films 2 men from high above while they keep the time by sweeping the hands of the clock.

Almost 11:45 here.. :)
The Sweepers Clock is part of the current exhibition 'Hide & Seek' in the Groninger Museum.

  3. Really? Do they ever get a break? That's kind of scary, thinking about two men pushing those hands around forever (or even for one day)... how does it work? (I will go Google about this -- I'm sure there is an explanation that anyone with more brains than I have probably already knows.) Sure makes great pictures!

    1. Hi Sallie, so it seems it's a non stop job for these men but I'm pretty sure it's not a live footage. At least I hope so! :)
