Synagogue inside and out

Earlier this week I showed a few pictures from inside the synagogue in Groningen. My third and last post (for now) about this building shows the interior as seen from the hallway on the first floor. Nowadays the synagogue is used for all kinds of events, like concerts, exhibitions, lectures etc.

And this is the view from outside in the Folkingestraat. If you would like to read more about the synagogue please click HERE.

  3. Looks beautiful building. It's great that the synagogue is filed and there is activity. History lives in the spirit of this building.

  5. Het deed me even denken aan het Tropeninstituut in Amsterdam, waarschijnlijk uit dezelfde tijd. Leuk dat het gebouw ook voor andere activiteiten wordt gebruikt.

  6. Love the decorated archways Marleen.. It seems to be the norm now that churches of all religions get used for more than services, community projects.. I think it's a good idea.
