During our hike yesterday we were surprised to see so many blackberry bushes carrying new, though still red and unripe, fruit. August is our "blackberry month" and I guess because September in the Netherlands has been so unusually warm, dry and sunny, new blackberries have grown. Autumn seems hesitant to arrive..
Love blackberries. We're hoping for a seasonal change soon. It's still very hot here, but the nights are a bit cooler which is a good sign. Of course, Florida is supposed to be hot so I shouldn't complain.
It reminds me of the blackberry picking I did with my mum and sister along the hedgerows in my childhood. Your photo is lovely, thank you for the lovely memories it evokes :)
