The Westerdiep at the edge of the village of Nieuw Buinen, earlier today.

Pink!

We drove past some fields with flowering tulips yesterday and of course stopped for a few photos. Behind the treeline on the horizon is the village of Nieuw Buinen.

Isn't the pink colour beautiful?

Broken Line

Dit opvallende kunstobject genaamd 'Gebroken Lijn' staat aan de Drentse Mondenweg tussen Nieuw-Buinen en 1e Exloërmond. Het bestaat uit 2 delen die tegenover elkaar en elk aan een kant van de weg zijn geplaatst. 

This remarkable art object titled 'Broken Line' is located at the Drentse Mondenweg between Nieuw-Buinen and 1e Exloërmond. It has 2 parts that stand opposite eachother and each at a side of the road. 

'Gebroken Lijn' werd geplaatst in 1989 en is van beeldhouwer Jan Brouwer en Bas Lugthart (ontwerp).

'Broken Line' was placed here in 1989. The creators are sculptor Jan Brouwer and Bas Lugthart (design).
