This Summer I visited Nijmegen, and made these photos in an alley with steps that lead to the 13th century Sint-Stevenskerk. It is the largest church in the city and built on a small hill named the Hundisburg.
In the alley I spotted this cat (with a head like a skunk?) painted on the wall left of the steps. On a previous visit I photographed a mural of an orange cat on the same wall, to see it click
HERE.
Weird cat, but I suppose it adds interest to that otherwise grey wall.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice. I like the angel you used to photograph the church.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is not an angel, but in fact a sculpture of a devil! I will post a close up in one of the coming days.
VerwijderenMooie foto van de kerk. De artiest heeft zeker speciale ideeen daar in die hoek, een stinkdier, zou het iets met wildplassen te maken hebben? :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI was wondering what that sculpture was... I was thinking a modern looking gargoyle.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWel een geweldige entree.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe church must be very nice from the 13th century ... Excellent photo...
