Here we are inside the former court building at the Marktstraat in Sneek, now a restaurant. Justice was rendered here from 1839 -the year in which the building was built- until 1877. After that it became a cantonal court until it closed in 2013.
Before I forget (again!) I want to tell you how much I like your cheesy-bike header!
I don't think I've ever heard of a former court house turning into a restaurant. But why not? Looks like a nice place. And in my mind I can hear the conversations at the various tables: "Yeah, I was convicted here of fraud." "Oh, that's too bad, they got me for dealing in stolen goods." "Well, you guys got off lucky, I got five years for publishing lousy photographs!" :)
