Marsh

We are standing here at the edge of the Lunsveen, a marsh in the woodlands near Borger. A wonderful spot, and very quiet when we passed it earlier today. Once this water was used as an ice rink in Winter.

I am linking to All Seasons.

  3. It has a kind of wintry beauty. I wonder if this is where the name Marsha came from. I mean, think about a couple walking by this marsh, and they're considering what to name their new baby girl. The father, being a little slow, says, "Aw, who wants to name their baby marsh?" The wife, being much swifter, says, "That's it! Only it's now Awmarsh, it's Marsha!"

    Hey, it works for me.

  4. P.S. Typo: last sentence. It should read, "Only it's not Awmarsh, its' Marsha.!

    1. Wouldn't it be nice if that is where the name came from. It's a sweet story, Lowell! 😀

  8. Easy to imagine, people would like to skate here on the ice.It looks like a romantic spot and nice when people do not like crowds! Thank you for coming back Marleen to All Seasons!

About your comment of the painting: it is 9 x 7 feet (3 feet is one meter) approximately a little over twee meter hoog en 3 meter breed. Hubby made a movable staircase for me so I don't have to stand on a ladder:) Have a beautiful spring week!
