View into the Herestraat, the main shopping street in the city of Groningen. It has been a pedestrian zone since the 1960s, until then trams and trolley buses rode here.
Nice street scene. I too recognized the Vodafone sign. That's what we have for our internet. I imagine when the trolley buses and trams ruled the road, it didn't leave much room for the pedestrians. It's great to have traffic free streets in today's world.
I like this type of street... I like the fact I am not sharing it with cars. :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNiet voor te stellen dat daar trams en bussen hebben gereden!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery nice concept. I wish we had them here.
BeantwoordenVerwijderen...your streets don't look like our streets.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThese are the kinds of things (streets) that make a city liveable! Love that UPS truck. They are ubiquitous!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove day to go shopping! It looks too narrow for trams or trolley buses!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHi Marleen, our streets don't look like yours but our Vodafone logo is exactly the same! Greetings Jo
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuper Street scene Marleen.. I too recognised the Vodafone sign, must be universal..A bit like Coca-Cola 😊
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt looks busy!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like to walk in shopping streets. And this street photo is very great.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks similar to our shopping streets in Germany... even the shops are the same!
