Following up on yesterday's blogpost with a few more photos of the great spotted woodpecker (grote bonte specht in Dutch), in the light of the setting sun, a few days ago in our back garden. Look at the crumbs on it's beak.
A power nap in between bites.
And...
..gone.
I'm linking to Eileen's Saturday's Critters.
Hij weet de snackbar wel te vinden!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBlijft leuk.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLovely shots, these and the previous also.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBetter luck than I Marleen. Every time I quietly open the window to take pictures of my Great Spot - off it flies.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHello, it must have been comfy to take even a short nap at the feeder. I love the woodpecker, great photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh wow, Marleen. This is a new bird for me. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. Off to see your previous post. Greetings Jo
BeantwoordenVerwijderenReally loved these and yesterday's shots Marleen, beautiful wee bird. It fascinates me the way the flap thing comes over their eyes when they nap.. very cool catching him as he buzzed off ☺
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHe/she was really getting his/her beak full! Nice of you to leave food out for them!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSplendid post!
