Searching for a treasure

People searching with a metal detector is not an unusual sight in our region; the man on the left apparently found something that deserved a better look.. We have a television show called 'Tussen Kunst en Kitsch', the Dutch version of the British 'Antiques Roadshow', in which we sometimes see the very lucky ones who searched like the men on the photo.

So we're having a beautiful sunny Sunday, I took this photo earlier today. The snow on the fields is from last evening.

      The metal detector will find things, if there are any of course. It takes a lot of patience! :)

    How exciting if you actually find something! I've always wanted to have a bit of an explore with a metal detector, how about you Marleen, have you tried it?

    I've often thought that treasure hunting might be fun, but then again, it's probably very boring. You could go weeks and or months without finding anything of value. :)

    I've seen people walking around and searching here too. I love antique roadshow and the things people bring to the show. Their stories are always interesting on how they got the items.

    We see 'treasure' hunters occasionally with their metal detectors. I suppose it is no worse than walking around everywhere with a camera in hopes of a good picture. That looks like a manageable amount of snow.
